The BMW M30B30 engine is a 3.0-liter (2,986 cc) inline-six cylinder engine that produced around 170-178 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque in its original European-spec carbureted form (using Zenith 35/40 INAT carburetors). This engine, an evolution of the earlier M30B28V, was used in classic BMW models like the E9 3.0 CS and E3 3.0 S, and had variations in U.S. trim and later applications with different carburettors.
