Payment Policy – Fit Engines

This Payment Policy outlines the accepted payment methods and terms applicable to all purchases of used engines and gearboxes from Fit Engines.

1. Accepted Payment Methods

Fit Engines accepts the following payment methods:

• Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
• Credit Card payments
• Debit Card payments

We do not accept cash payments unless expressly agreed to in writing.

2. EFT Payments

Customers choosing to pay via EFT must transfer funds to the official Fit Engines bank account as reflected on the issued quotation or invoice.

• Proof of payment must be emailed to info@fitengines.co.za.
• Orders will only be confirmed and processed once the full amount reflects in our bank account.
• Fit Engines is not responsible for delays caused by interbank processing times.
• Any bank charges related to EFT payments remain the responsibility of the customer.

Engines or gearboxes will not be released or dispatched until payment has cleared.

3. Credit & Debit Card Payments

We accept major credit and debit cards. All card transactions are processed through secure payment gateways.

• Payments are subject to successful authorization by your bank.
• Fit Engines is not responsible for declined transactions due to insufficient funds, banking restrictions, or technical/network issues.
• Where applicable, transaction or processing fees may be included and will be communicated before payment is finalized.
• Full payment must be completed before any goods are released or prepared for dispatch.

4. Payment Terms

• Full upfront payment is required unless alternative written arrangements have been approved.
• Prices quoted are valid only for the period stated on the quotation.
• Failure to make full payment may result in order delays, suspension, or cancellation.
• Stock availability is not guaranteed until payment has been received and confirmed.

5. Refunds and Cancellations

Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund & Returns Policy and applicable South African consumer protection legislation.

• Credit or debit card refunds will be processed back to the original card used for payment.
• EFT refunds will be made to the same bank account from which payment was received.
• Any non-refundable transaction or processing fees charged by financial institutions may be deducted where applicable.
• Special-order or specifically sourced engines and gearboxes may not qualify for refunds.

6. Fraud Prevention & Verification

Fit Engines reserves the right to:

• Request additional identification or payment verification documentation.
• Delay the release of goods until payment verification is complete.
• Decline or reverse any transaction suspected to be fraudulent or unauthorized.

These measures are in place to protect both our business and our customers.

7. Policy Updates

Fit Engines reserves the right to update or amend this Payment Policy at any time. The latest version published will apply to all transactions.
