Shipping Coverage
We deliver nationwide across South Africa. All shipments are arranged through reputable transport and courier partners experienced in handling automotive components such as engines and gearboxes.
Shipping Costs
Shipping fees are calculated based on:
- Delivery location
- Size and weight of the engine or gearbox
- Transport and freight requirements
Shipping charges (if applicable) will be confirmed before dispatch.
From time to time, promotional shipping offers may apply. Unless otherwise stated, we do not provide express or same-day delivery due to the size and logistics involved in transporting engines and transmissions.
Order Processing
Processing Time: 1–2 business days (Monday–Friday)
- Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.
- Orders confirmed after 12:00 PM (SAST) may be processed the following business day.
Processing may be delayed due to:
- Payment verification
- Incomplete or incorrect vehicle or engine details
- Incorrect or incomplete delivery address
- High order volumes
If any delay occurs, our team will contact you via phone or email.
Because we supply used engines and gearboxes, certain orders may require confirmation of engine codes or compatibility before dispatch to ensure accuracy.
Delivery Timeframes
Estimated Transit Time (South Africa):
3–7 business days depending on region and freight provider.
Estimated Total Delivery Time:
Processing (1–2 business days) + Transit (3–7 business days)
Approximately 4–9 business days
Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary based on location, freight schedules, and operational factors. Large items such as engines and gearboxes may require specialized freight handling, which can affect delivery timelines.
Dispatch and Tracking
Once your order has been dispatched:
- You will receive confirmation via email or phone.
- Tracking details will be provided where available.
- Please allow 24–48 hours for tracking information to reflect within the courier system.

Order Cancellations
If you need to cancel your order, please contact us immediately.
Please note:
- Cancellations are not guaranteed once processing has started.
- If the order has already been dispatched, cancellation will not be possible and our return policy will apply.
- Collection or return freight costs may apply for shipped engines or gearboxes.
Address Changes
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery details at checkout.
Address changes cannot be guaranteed once processing has begun. Once an order has been dispatched, rerouting may not be possible due to freight handling procedures.
Shipping Issues
Lost or Damaged Shipments
If your order arrives visibly damaged, you must notify us immediately upon delivery and report it to the freight provider.
Fit Engines is not responsible for packages marked as delivered by the courier. Customers must follow up directly with the transport provider in such cases.
Incorrect Address
We are not liable for deliveries made to incorrect or incomplete addresses supplied at the time of purchase.
Orders returned due to incorrect details may incur additional reshipping fees.
Undeliverable Orders
Orders returned due to:
- Invalid or incomplete address
- Failed delivery attempts
- Refusal of delivery
may be subject to additional transport charges. Refunds, if approved, will exclude original shipping and freight costs.
Delivery Exceptions
Delivery delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, including:
- Severe weather conditions
- Public holidays
- Load shedding disruptions
- Courier operational delays
- Remote or rural delivery locations

Peak Period Notice
During high-demand periods such as Black Friday, Christmas, and New Year, freight services may experience extended delivery times. We recommend placing orders early to avoid delays.
