Refund & Return Policy

Fit Engines – Hassle-Free Returns and Fair Refunds You Can Trust

At Fit Engines, we value customer satisfaction and stand by the quality of our engines, gearboxes, and auto parts. We understand that sometimes issues may arise, and we’re committed to making every return or refund process simple, transparent, and fair.


1. Eligibility for Returns

You may request a return within 7 days of receiving your order, provided the product:

  • Has not been installed, altered, or tampered with.
  • Is in its original condition and packaging.
  • Includes all accessories, documentation, and proof of purchase.

Please note: Due to the nature of automotive parts, once an engine, gearbox, or component has been fitted, we cannot accept a return unless the issue falls under a valid warranty claim.


2. Return Approval Process

To initiate a return, please contact our support team at info@fitengines.co.za with the following details:

  • Your order number
  • Date of purchase
  • Reason for return
  • Clear photos of the item (if applicable)

Our team will review your request within 2–3 business days and provide instructions on how to return the product safely.


3. Refunds

Once the returned item is received and inspected, we’ll notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

  • Approved refunds are processed within 3–5 business days.
  • Refunds are issued using the original payment method (e.g., EFT).
  • Shipping fees and handling costs are non-refundable, unless the return is due to an error on our part.

4. Non-Returnable Items

Certain items cannot be returned, including:

  • Products damaged due to improper installation or misuse.
  • Items with missing parts or documentation.
  • Electrical components or ECUs, due to their sensitive nature.
  • Custom or special-order parts sourced specifically for your vehicle.

5. Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive a damaged or incorrect product, please contact us immediately (within 48 hours of delivery) with:

  • Photos of the damaged or incorrect item
  • Photos of the packaging and shipping label

We’ll arrange a replacement, exchange, or refund at no additional cost to you once verified.


6. Warranty Claims

All engines, gearboxes, and major components sold by Fit Engines are covered by a standard warranty. If a defect arises during the warranty period, we will:

  • Inspect and test the product
  • Offer a replacement, repair, or partial refund depending on the issue and warranty terms

Warranty claims must be accompanied by proof of installation by a qualified mechanic and an official invoice.


7. Return Shipping Responsibility

For general returns (not related to warranty or Fit Engines error):

  • The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
  • Returned items must be shipped via a trackable, insured courier service to ensure safe arrival.

If the return is approved due to a fault on our part (wrong item or damage during delivery), Fit Engines will cover all return shipping costs.


8. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund after 5 business days of approval, please:

  1. Recheck your bank account.
  2. Contact your bank or payment provider — some transactions take additional time to reflect.
  3. If the issue persists, contact us at info@fitengines.co.za, and we’ll assist immediately.

9. Exchange Policy

If you’d prefer to exchange an item instead of receiving a refund, we’ll gladly assist — subject to stock availability. The replacement item will be shipped once the returned product is received and inspected.
